"The Ritz Cafe - 108 North Washington Street - Owned by Mr. and Mrs. Herman Taylor, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. R.E. (Red) Bennett. The Taylor's philosophy of keeping up with the times during the 33 year history prompted them to remodel the restaurant nine times. A large sign over the sidewalk caused some controversy, and after closing, the sign was acquired by the Monrovian restaurant on Highway 72 West, now closed also. Location of the sign as of 1984 is a mystery."
